Hmmmm

Okay. I dont get it. Or perhaps I get it and just dont like it. Not visually appealing. Boring. And I can find better uses for my $1.

crap

if the game is screwing people out of 99 cents they won.

Loved it

I totally loves these kinds of games. Ill gladly pay way more than 99 cents to anyone willing to make a game like this.

Wow

Ok I admit it...I had a tear or two at the end of this game. Makes you realize how fragile life is and how the little choices one makes in life have a significant impact.

I found it moving...

I heard about this game from destructoid so I figured Id give it a chance. Its actually pretty moving when youve played through it. Definitley worth 99 cents. Probably more.

Beautiful

Rare to find a game as thought provoking as this. Really elegant and simple but delivers a powerful message.

Im glad that I supported this with money

Passage is sort of a game. The goal is to get to the end of this long road, the road of life. You start alone as this average looking guy and you quickly run into a girl and you two fall in love. So now the both of you keep heading right. If you move down using the on screen d-pad youll run into non-threatening obstacles that do nothing more than slow you down. After about five minutes or so you reach the end. Before all of that there are changes happening all around you and to you and your wife. But Ill leave it to you guys to discover what that is and what makes this game a little art-house gem.

Interactive art

Not so much a game as a thoughtful look at mortality. Sticks with you long after the 5 minutes it takes to play.

Art, not game

I wouldnt call it a game, but its a very sweet and tender art piece. Very short, and with low replay value. But I keep it on my ipod because I am proud that someone made a piece of software thats different, and emotional.

Amazing

You either love this or you dont. If you came expecting a game you might be dissapointed. What you get for your $0.99 is an experience. A 5 minute experience. Maybe 10, maybe 15. Its short but it stays with you. A dollar is nothing, Id have paid more for this.

Worth it

This game is an interesting experience and is worth 99 cents. Instead of buying that next candy bar buy this instead.

Great!

Its one of those games that had moved me in a small way. Starts off sweet, but its that progression that really builds it up. I even shed a tear and was left confused. I love it. Its no EarthBound (best game ever) by any means, but definitely its own work of art. Plus its done in a graphical style I can understand and connect with. I also grew up with the Nintendo and Commodore 64. If you are a Playstation generation gamer and above, you probably wont get this. Its not a game. Its something I cant put my finger on, and you say art, but I see something else totally different.

Touching

A shining example of how the aesthetics of interaction - the art of game design - can communicate a clear message without saying a word.

Interesting

This, for me, was not a life-changing exercise. It was interesting. It got me thinking about the purpose of video games, and the metaphors (like treasure boxes that are often empty, or the spouse that limits options) were cleverly done. 4 stars.

Beautiful game.

There is so much you can take from it.

Bad "game" good concept

I was very excited to play this "game" after reading the hype on the internet but I also read about the outcome of this game...So it did not have that ah ha moment for me. Plus I am constantly thinking about my own mortality and it scares the sheet outta me.

More than meets the eye

Theres a lot more to Passage than one play through might suggest. You really have to think about what happens to you when you do different things. Everything is symbolic.

Worth it.

Amazingly expressive. Youll want to show everyone, gamer and nongamer alike. All the emotion of your favorite games in less than five minutes. Perfect.

Beautiful

Classic in play, but simple yet supremely meaningful. Highly recommended.

Reflective; I learn something about myself each time I play.

I played this a about a year ago on the Mac. I was feeling in a rut and looked it up on the iPhone. Each time I play it I emphasize one part of my personality (e.g. ambition, commitment, curiosity, love). And each time I see myself thinking and and feeling differently. Its a very effective model to stage all those difficult concepts in our lives: time, memory, hope, regret. I learn something about myself each time I play.
